Privacy policy
This policy covers UTUVO Desk for Mac and iPhone/iPad, maintained by UTUVO. Desk connects devices you pair with your own Mac. It has no Desk account, advertising, tracking or analytics SDK, and no UTUVO relay server.
What goes between your devices
The Mac sends the selected window or desktop, window titles/thumbnails, app icons and menus, its name and pointer position. The client sends touch/pointer/keyboard input, committed text, settings and connection statistics. This data travels over encrypted connections between the devices you connect; UTUVO does not receive the stream.
Stored on your own devices
Pairing keys and trusted Mac/device records are stored in Keychain and local app storage. Preferences, remembered addresses and tutorial progress stay locally. The Mac keeps local diagnostic logs, which may contain device names, network addresses and connection statistics; logs are not automatically uploaded.
Permissions and clipboard
Mac screen recording shares the selected picture; accessibility enables your input. The iPhone/iPad camera reads a pairing QR code; Desk does not save or upload camera frames. Local Network finds your Mac. Clipboard sharing is optional: device-to-Mac text is sent through the system Paste control you activate. Dictation is handled by your system keyboard; Desk sends the resulting text to your Mac.
Optional support purchases
All features are free. Optional one-time consumable tips support development; they do not unlock features or renew automatically. Apple handles payment. Desk checks signed transaction results on your device and finishes completed purchases. UTUVO does not receive your payment card details. Apple provides developers with App Store sales reports under its own privacy terms.
Tailscale and external links
Tailscale is a separate service, governed by its own policy and account settings. Optional support/download links open in your browser. This website is hosted by Cloudflare; ordinary web connection logs are handled by the hosting provider and are not joined with Desk streaming content. The website uses no analytics scripts.
Your controls
Turn off clipboard sharing, revoke OS permissions, forget a Mac on the client, or remove a paired device on the Mac. Removing a device from Mac Desk revokes its pairing trust. Keep pairing codes private. If you email support, we receive only the information and attachments you choose to send, for handling your request.
